Community Cleaning Services
Limited access to the toilet is prevalent in Kibera today. In general, sanitation in kibera is very limited making it a breeding ground for virus outbreaks. As a consequence of this problem, people resort to local
latrines that are shared with more than 50 families.
This pain of not being able to access the toilet is much more severe to the disabled members of our society. K.R.T.C saw the struggle that was being experienced by the Makina residents and especially the
disabled and constructed toilets that are currently favorable and accessible free of charge to people leaving with disabilities. The facility comprises toilets, shower rooms and toilets specifically fitted to serve the interest and needs of this special group. This facility not only serves the needs of this special group but has also created employment to (16) youths in makina area.
