KRTC’s GIRLS’ WORKSHOP BUSINESS
On realization that majority of the girls participating in our community activities had both social and financial challenges, KRTC felt the need to train them in income generating activities and also offer business opportunities for them. As a means of equipping and mentoring the girls in businesses, KRTC started a Girls’ Workshop. This has been in existence in the past three years. The workshop has employed 3 trainers. The workshop trains 10 girls at any one time. The trainees undertake courses in soap making (bar soap, liquid soap), bead working, design and home decor, ladies bags and jewelry among many others. Graduates from this workshop, have after attaining their certificates become self-employed and earning valuable income for the benefit of their households
