Professional Security Experts

Safety and security are two twin-words that go hand in hand. That security is paramount to human development and attainment of various targets in life cannot be underestimated. A secure environment provides safe co-existence, easy community integration, free movement, resource mobilsation and easy flow of information and knowledge that empowers the community.

Security means safety, as well as the measures taken to be safe or protected. … Often this word is used in compounds such as a security measure, security check or security guard.

“Security represents your sense of worth, your identity, your emotional anchorage, your self-esteem, your basic personal strength or lack of it” – opines Stephen Covey and further quote………,

“True individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence. People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made” – Franklin D. Roosevelt

Nothing can be so far from the truth as regards these observations and so very deserving in this area. Residents of this slum area do deserve a peace of mind and a sense of belonging and safety to go about daily chores in order to attain sense of worth, identity, emotional anchorage, self-esteem and basic personal strength.

In Kibera, the lack of security has been a major inhibition to the conduct of daily chores in life and daily economic or livelihood activities. Such vices as burglary, thefts, mugging, brake-ins, murder, rape etc., are rampant in this area. At KRTC, we have been at center of such experiences and only know too well how insecurity plays a big role in limiting the capacities of individuals in this area as well as discouraging investments in this area This creates the fear to go out, to engage on businesses or involving generally in other economic activities.

A major challenge in provision of this most desired intervention has been inadequate resources or lack thereof as insecurity cases continue to rise. KRTC has been working closely with the local government security agencies such as the police, the areas government administrative organs (area chiefs and sub-chiefs) to help minimize these cases. After careful sole searching, KRTC youth involved in the security back-up to local authorities sat down and muted the formation of a security company, AMULUCHA COMPANY SECURITY LIMTED to help them take effective participation in complementing government efforts towards achieving this goal – providing security to the locals. On 10th. February 2021, was registered under the company Act, 2015 as a Private Limited Company under registration certificate number, pvt-9XUD32R.

There is a big demand for our services in the area given our exemplary service delivery and our unique approach in handling security issues arising in the area. This increasing demand has put a lot pressure on the company’s meager resources to effectively address the emerging issues and challenges. To help address this emerging challenges and to be able to effectively cover the wider market reach, we intend to strengthen and expand our operations. However inadequate financial resources have been a serious bottleneck in undertaking these very deserving activities at the moment. To help KRTC effectively undertake its new duties, a major resource mobilization will be required. KRTC looks up to its friends, well-wishers and other partners to help bridge this gap. We are looking to getting assistance in procuring tenders which we intend to service. This will help in resources mobilization and thus enable us build a strong financial base to help us in our intended expansion strategies. Through this outfit KRTC envisages to realize the following immediate impacts;

  • engage idle youth in this exercise. This will help reduce idle time to involve in criminal activities.
  • unlock employment opportunities and thus reducing unemployment among the youth
  • provide the required safe environment for the locals to go about their daily business and livelihood activities.
  • help in complementing the local security team’s security programs and also provide COVID-19 intervention measures.
  • livelihood improvement as locals can go about their everyday economic activities.

Circumstances and living conditions remain harsh and the slump in economic activities due to COVID-19 has worsened the situation. Our organization requires requisite tools to help us effectively undertake this new challenge. We lack security and surveillance equipment, staff uniforms, transport facilities communication gadgets among others.  KRTC lacks the resources to offer these services effectively and therefore our plea.
